Mike Vaughan Cycles is a local, independent, family run business that has been trading for three generations since the late 1950’s Specialising in road, Off-Road, MTB and hybrid bikes, our staff have extensive knowledge of off-road, touring, commuting and road racing.
In 1961, Mike Vaughan senior took over the running of the shop from his father, which was then a toy and bicycle shop, and the shop became “Mikes Bikes”, Selling Bicycles as well as Motorcycles and mopeds which were key transport for the local community. We have changed over the years and now specialise in Bicycles but have stuck to our roots and aim to provide the same quality products and service we did all those years ago.
We stock a large range of Trek and Specialized bikes, as well as a range of cycling clothing, footwear, helmets and accessories from Bontrager, Specialized, Endura, Shimano, Garmin, and many more.
Our aim is to provide quality service and products, be it in the shop, our workshop or on our website.

With any purchase of a new bike from us we offer a free six-week check. During the first few weeks of riding, your bike will be going through a settling in period and to keep your bike running smoothly and efficiently it may well need a few adjustments. During the six-week check we will happily check your bike over and make any adjustments necessary.
